Position Overview

An Ambleside administrator reports to the Head of School and functions primarily as the school business manager, handling general office, financial, and legal tasks as well as other varied relational and organizational responsibilities. The administrator works closely with the school's leadership personnel to establish and maintain a highly professional office and school environment. providing support as needed. The administration serves all the constituents of the school (board, senior leadership, parents, teachers, and students) and is to become highly familiar with all policies related to school business recorded in manuals for the board and Head of school as well as handbooks for teachers and parents/students. The administrator acts as a primary point of contact for the school, professionally and warmly interacting with all students, parents, teachers, staff, visitors, and community at large, often in a fast-paced, relationally intensive school environment. 

Middle School Classroom Teacher

Thus, Ambleside teachers willingly submit to Charlotte Mason's educational philosophy and become her students. They eagerly seek to increase their own knowledge and expertise by reading, discussing, practicing, and attending educational training so that they might become better teachers and excel in their vocation.

Required: Bachelor's Degree

  • Experience teaching junior high or high school
  • A major in an academic subject from a liberal arts or science program
  • Leadership experience in an academic or ministry setting
